Recent Etsy Purchases

One of the best parts of selling on Etsy is that it allows me to make purchases from other shops. A couple of weeks ago I was the featured shop on Sunday Baker and that drove some new buyer to my shop. So in efforts to stimulate the economy I put some money back into the system.

I was on Twitter one evening when PixiSette posted this bracelet and I just had to have it. The bracelet is made of recycled glass and it is really beautiful. I love the way it feels on and wear it a few times a week! PixiSette was super sweet to deal with and I will be shopping there again.

Next in my stimulus package spending spree would be the lovely Threadmill. I can not seem to get enough of her wonderful handmade goodies. This time I got the Trellis Headband in bamboo. I love how it feels on and it stays on! My husband even commented on how good it looks. He said it looks like something I would find at Anthropologie. Threadmill you know I love you and your shop!!

Ok I have been drooling over this pillow and many others from Enhabiten. Something about hemp and the cross and the photos just has me totally enamored. I ordered it during the Shop Live on Etsy that was hosted by HeartHandmade. It was lots of fun and I got a great deal on the pillow. She quickly sent a message explaining the discount and refund process. A few short days later I had this incredible smelling beauty at my house. It happily found itself on my recently refurbished mid-century chair.

And there is more but I think I will have to do a Part Deux. Stop by and check out my shops. MonkeyThreads is where I sell vinyl decals for your walls and your car. Gopherella is my vintage finds shop. And you can follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/monkeythreads.

Etsy Friends and Favorites

I am going to try and blog more often. I will start by talking about my favorites on Etsy. So many of these shops have become friends and great supporters of me and my MonkeyThreads. My list will be forever evolving but there will be some core shops that will never go away.

My number one Etsy supporter and a shop that I have been know to purchase from..a few times is, CreativeHook aka ThreadMill. Go check out her shops. She has hats for snow and sun, soap huggers, beautiful bags and more. All her items are of the highest quality and if you buy from her you will be sure to go back for more.

Here is my latest purchase from CreativeHook .

Crocheted with double thick acrylic yarns in shades of earthy brown, chocolate and taupe, this sturdy laptop sweater also doubles as a market tote.Holds plenty of groceries, or if you wish, gently cradles a 17x12 laptop snugly, or a 10x14 laptop with room to spare.Eco friendly, machine washable, reusable, this tote is just the bag you'll use for.... anything!Market tote will expand to hold up to 15 lbs. Easily compacts to fit into purses, pockets and glove compartments. You'll wonder how you ever did without this durable tote! Machine washable and drip dry. Bag should last decades.

I could go on for days and pages about CreativeHook but I want you to stop reading and go check our her shop.

And Finally I would like to add my most recent purchase from Threadmill. This stylish, flirty and fun headband. Isn't she amazing with her hooks!!
